Cultural institutions:
Bunker is an institution, established in 1998, which
presents contemporary theatrical and dance performances. You might
have heard of the group Betontanc, which has been working
with Bunker since its beginning. Are you familiar with
the festival Mladi levi (Young Lions) which is trying to
familiarize the audience with exciting and innovative performances
which surprise us with fresh theatrical ideas? Have you
heard of The Old town Power Plant – Elektro Ljubljana?
It is the first Slovene power plant which has been renovated
and turned into a theatre for contemporary art. It is managed
by Bunker, too. In addition to everything mentioned above
Bunker pays a lot of attention to international projects,
educational workshops, etc.

The
society for story revival 2 koluta
The instituition combines two activities which are aware
of the importance of grooming the storytelling. One of
the reels that makes the society work is the International
festival of animated film called Animateka.
Since 2004 it has been presenting short animated films
from Eastern and Middle Europe. Its extensive accompanying
programme is the contact point for international meetings
and exchanging ideas of authors, students, journalists
and audience.
The educational programme Slon (Elephant)
has grown from this festival. It is meant for the youngest
children. With
the workshops of animated films we would like to draw the
magic world of animated heroes nearer to the children and
encourage their own creativity.
The second reel deals with
folk tales that have been revived by co-workers and guests
of the programme Za 2 groša fantazije
Radia Študent (Student Radio Fantasy for two pence).
An important part of our striving are educational activities
for adults and children. Our aim is to make sure that the
film stories as well as those recorded on a tape and those
that are only told will exist also in the future. Creativity
and curiosity of story fans might be encouraged by publishing
translations, brochures and DVDs.
